The Estuary's Song - Te Waiata a te Wahapū

The Estuary’s Song – Te Waiata a te Wahapū is the third book in our Nana’s Simple Science – Te Pūtaiao Ngāwari o Kui bilingual picture book series.

This is a gentle, hopeful story about the fragile world where stream meet the sea. As children explore estuary life, they learn that, in order to thrive, all its birds, fish, plants, and shellfish need clean water.

The story touches on pollution, restoration, and caring for the natural world, encouraging youngsters to believe that even their own small actions can make a meaningful difference.

The Conversation Starters in the form of questions and answers at the back of the book give parents and teachers the opportunity to explore in greater depth estuary life and human impact, both good and bad, on the environment.
